One day, I got an e-mail from Monika and Ante and I really liked how they approached me. We clicked quite quickly and started making plans. Both of them have a great connection with the beautiful Hvar. Monika is a professor who was born on Hvar, while Ante runs a tourist agency there. For me, it is certainly one of the most beautiful Croatian islands! In each place you visit on this island you will enjoy the scenes of untouched nature and Adriatic beauty. The atmosphere in the centre of Hvar was very relaxing! I travelled with my girlfriend by a ferry early in the morning, so we had a lot of time to enjoy and catch details. October is less popular with tourists, which is good for avoiding crowds. The two of them know all the places on Hvar very well, which was great, because some of the places we visited were not easy to access.
So, on the 10th day of October, exactly one month before their wedding, we headed to Zaraće. It is a very small place on Hvar, with beautiful beaches and incredibly clear water. From the very beginning, both of them were very relaxed and so happy to be together. My main goal was to create one wonderful experience for Monika and Ante, something they will remember their whole lives. After visiting the bay in Zaraće, we headed towards the village “Malo Grablje”. The village was abandoned in the 1960s, but it was an ideal place for the photo shoot. At the very top of the village is a tavern “Stori Komin” where we were warmly greeted by the owner Berti Tudor with a toast! We spent the whole day together, we even had lunch together on the way back to the centre of Hvar. When we rested for a bit, we took a couple of photos in front of the church of St. Mark, because it was right in front of the restaurant. From the very beginning we visited everything with their car, so that definitely added to the great atmosphere, as well as the joint return to Split by ferry. From the centre of Hvar we headed towards the hill. First, we stopped by the road and caught the sunset in a lavender field. Incredible scenes! From the lavender field we went towards the Fort Napoleon, where I was greeted by the most beautiful view ever. The day was ended with the perfect location! You can see for yourself what it looks like at the very end of the gallery.
The vibe was so good I almost forgot I was taking photos. Monika and Ante, you have a special place in my heart. Thank you very much for inviting me to be with you that day and on the wedding day in Imotski. I enjoyed every moment!
